Minutes For Committee for Long Term Planning
Meeting held on November 8, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Engineer’s House, 28 Trades Lane at Fairfield Hills.
Attendance: John Reed, Walt Motyka, John Madzula and one member of the press.
The meeting was called to order at 1:11 p.m. and Walt Motyka made a motion to go into Executive Session for the purpose reviewing and possibly recommending additions or changes to a draft lease developed by the Town Attorney, David Grogins between the Town of Newtown and Kevin’s Community Center. John Madzula seconded the motion. All present members voted yes.
At 2:05 p.m. John Madzula moved and Walt Motyka seconded a motion to return to public session. All three members voted yes.
Walt Motyka moved that the findings of the subcommittee pertaining to the draft lease be shared/discussed with the First Selectman and the Town Attorney. John Madzula seconded the motion and it passed 3 to 0.
A brief discussion was held between the three Authority members and the member of the press.
At 2:12 John Madzula moved and Walt Motyka seconded the motion that the meeting to be adjourned.
Motion passed three to 0.
